Statement of Faith
Our Statement of Faith serves as a foundational guide for our beliefs and practices as a Christian community. Here's a brief explanation of its key points:
Our Beliefs
The Church acknowledges the Scriptures as the divine revelation of God's Will and the ultimate guide for faith and conduct. The Church has adopted these Fundamental Truths and Doctrines to ensure overall harmony.
We Believe in the Authority of Scripture
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired and authoritative Word. The Bible is God's message and a guide for faith and behavior. It is the final authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct. It is the infallible truth and holds greater authority than personal conscience or reasoning, though it does not contradict them.
We Believe in the Triune God
There is unequivocally one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons, known as the triune Godhead - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are eternal and perfect in every way. God is the creator of everything, visible and invisible, and deserves all honor and adoration. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy, and remains unchanging throughout time.
We Believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, sacrificial death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father. He is the Savior of humanity.
We Believe Humanity was Created in the Image of God
God created both men and women in His image for His glory, to fellowship with Him, and to reflect His glory. Adam and Eve were created without sin and were responsible for caring for God's creations. However, their disobedience caused a fracture in all of creation. Redemption for humanity is only possible through Jesus Christ.
We Believe in Salvation by Grace through Faith
Through Jesus Christ, God offers eternal life as a free gift to those who follow Him as their Lord and Savior. Jesus became sin and sickness on the cross, providing salvation and divine healing to all who believe in Him. Salvation is found only in Christ and is received by grace through faith. Through His atonement, we are reconciled to God. The evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit to believers and a life of righteousness and true holiness to all. Human works do not earn our salvation, but our works will determine the rewards we receive in eternity.
We Believe in the Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers to live godly lives and equips them with spiritual gifts for service. The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service.
We Believe in the Church
We believe in the universal Church, the Body of Christ, composed of all believers. The local church is a community of believers who gather for worship, fellowship, and discipleship. The Church is meant to represent the physical embodiment of Christ, serving as a place where God resides through the Holy Spirit. The Church has been divinely appointed to carry out its mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and glorifying God. Every believer who has been born again through the Holy Spirit is a vital part of the church community and is considered part of the assembly of the firstborn, which is recorded in Heaven.
We Believe in Total Prosperity for the Believer
As believers, we can achieve total prosperity – Spiritually, Mentally, Physically, Financially, and Socially – by following the teachings of the Bible. This requires us to be born again, become a new creation in Christ, and confess our belief in Jesus as our Lord. We must also have a sound mind through the power of the Holy Spirit, renew our minds through God's word, and trust in Him for perfect peace. Additionally, we must believe in the healing power of Jesus, declare healing over our bodies, and receive blessings and abundance from God. Giving generously and obeying God's commands will also bring financial benefits. Finally, we must strive to have a good reputation and be known for our wisdom.
We Believe in Christ's Return
Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to Heaven. At this time, God will judge both the living and the dead and establish God's kingdom on earth. Those who have not accepted Jesus' redemptive work will not be able to join Him in Heaven and will instead suffer eternal separation from God. These individuals, along with the devil, his angels, the beast, the false prophet, and anyone whose name is not in the Book of Life, will be sent to the lake of fire, where they will experience everlasting punishment. Following this, Jesus will reign on earth for one thousand years, after which there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
